Never could get this thing to work so I can't give it anything but a single star.
Must have when you hate the radio as much as I do.jack from ipod to unit seems to loosen though over time.still work great.
i can change the station and that will resolve it on most occassions. i hear static from the station on certain channels if the radio volume is turned up very much. i think this is a great product for the price that i paid.
I am reserving the right to check back in at some point in the future if the quality ends up failing. But this is a minor convenience compared to the quality of sound. The other 2 transmitters I had (which each lasted about 6 months) did not have an on/off switch and I think putting it in and taking it out of the power source may have caused the contacts to weaken. I live in the New York City metro area where we literally have no free radio frequencies. I don't know how it works for music. The one disadvantage is the size and the placement of my power source.
Unfortunately it's not on the dash but on the console and the transmitter is partially blocking one of the cup holders. I picked up this transmitter on Friday (today is Monday) and it works well so far. I cannot vouch for sound quality, as I only listen to downloaded books. I do like the on/off switch. I have been using it on 107.7. I am writing this review with trepidation, because I'm afraid I'll hex my new FM transmitter.
In addition to driving locally, I drove to Exit 5 on the NJ turnpike today and had excellent reception the entire way. I keep it plugged in all the time, and just shut it off.
Even at full volume, could hardly hear the transmission. Macally PodFM Transmitter for iPod (White)A totally useless piece of equipment. Tried 4 different radios, 2 of which having significant amplifiers, at various frequencies, all I managed to pick up was a very faint signal but lots of static.Waste of money.
